Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Manufacturing)
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering
  • Experience in precision cleaning, metal fabrication, surface treatment, and/or vacuum technology
  • Hands-on experience in process development, manufacturing engineering, and FA related to contamination, material issues, and supplier quality
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of GD&T, SPC, DOE, FMEA, FA, RCCA, 8D, and 5-Whys problem solving
  • Proven ability to handle critical quality escalations with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience leading cross-functional project management
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites for audits and assessments
  • Experience in semiconductors, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware industries
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma (DMAIC approach), SPC tools, and usage of Minitab, JMP
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and identifying technical and operational supply chain risks

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as supply chain SPOC responsible for project managing supplier quality, process development, and FA across multiple commodities including surface treatment, fabrication, vacuum systems, pneumatics, COTS, and OEM components
  • Travel to supplier manufacturing locations to conduct effective audits, assessments, and investigations, and ensure suppliers' manufacturing processes produce reliable products in a repeatable manner
  • Act as technical liaison between suppliers, product groups, product development, and customer teams to ensure speed and fast issue resolution
  • Design and execute experiments, review data, develop conclusions, and implement industry standard process control techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) feedback to optimize supplier manufacturing processes and reduce quality, cost, and delivery issues
