Job Description

Qualifications: 
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in a science or business-related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ quality-related experience.
  • Experience with Technical Writing. (would be a nice to have)
  • Experience utilizing quality tools in an ERP or MRP system.
  • Experience in the fundamentals of supporting the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Working knowledge of process improvement tools such as root cause analysis and Process/Design FMEA and the PDCA Model.
  • Capable of reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical controls.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO, ASTM, IEEE, NIST (or similar).
  • Diversity in background would be great, Electrical Mfg experience would be awesome. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment
  • Investigate cases and customer returns to determine the root cause and develop corrective action.
  • Monitors departmental goals and objectives and recommends changes for improvement and /or recognizes success.
  • Leads activities surrounding the corrective/preventive action system by performing risk analysis, administering corrective actions, guiding teams in root-cause investigations, collaborating on resolutions, and seeing preventive measures through implementation.
  • Oversees the document life cycle by ensuring all documents are updated with the latest revision, ensures proper distribution of records, performs the reconciliation process, and ensures proper removal of obsolete materials from the Quality and Safety Management Systems.
  • Leads activities that maintain and improve product quality by completing surveillance audits including material inspections.
  • Contributes to activities surrounding Regulatory Affairs which back governing approvals, state by state, for the traffic control industry.
  • Works with Quality Manager to develop, implement, manage and integrate the Quality Management System (QMS) into the companies business units.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to achieve business deliverables related to facility change controls, documents and records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Capable of shifting priorities to support business needs.
  • Proven record organizational and customer service skills.
  • Be tactful and have persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
