Quality Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Two to three years of relevant experience in a quality or manufacturing role within the printing or packaging industry
- Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with business software including ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and email
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions, specifications, and data
- Experience with printing/converting/labeling/flexible packaging processes
- Knowledge of GMP practices and product qualification processes such as PPAP
- Industry-specific expertise in flexography, digital printing, color management, and quality audits
Responsibilities:
- Lead investigations into quality issues and customer complaints utilizing root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Develop, implement, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions, communicating results to stakeholders and customers
- Analyze quality and test data using statistical methods to identify patterns and opportunities for process improvement
- Conduct internal audits and support quality system improvements in line with industry standards
- Collaborate with operations to ensure consistent quality practices and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
