Job Description

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace or defense industries.
  • Experienced in the creation, improvement, and maintenance of quality systems for manufacturing needs.
  • Thorough understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Extensive experience in root cause analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Proficient in creating First Article Inspections (FAIs).
  • Skilled in defect data analysis, including root cause determination and validating corrective action plans.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions for designated product lines.
  • Develop supplier quality standards, conduct audits, and collaborate with suppliers on root cause analyses, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing, suppliers, and support departments on process enhancements and effective measures for non-conforming products.
  • Analyze manufacturing, customer, and test data to identify trends, improve key performance indicators (KPIs), and elevate overall customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement projects, troubleshoot quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish inspection processes, procedures, and criteria, including selecting appropriate measurement tools, frequency of inspections, data recording methods, and creating standard operating procedures.
  • Lead a deployed team to ensure exceptional quality performance across diverse products and supplier networks.
  • Participate in the selection of new suppliers and develop quality requirements during their onboarding.
  • Generate reports on hardware and supply chain quality metrics to oversee Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and supplier performance.
  • Review product and process design documentation to verify alignment with process capabilities and yield objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills utilizing a data-driven approach.
  • Effective project management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with customer requirements specific to jet engine components and systems.
  • Background in supplier quality management and conducting audits.
