Job Description
Qualifications:
- AA degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
- ASQ, Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or CQA
- Must have experience using metrology equipment, CMM (coordinate measurement machines)
- Proficiency in conducting First Article Inspection and applying Strong Statistical Process Controls (SPC).
- Competency in interpreting bills of materials (BOMs) and intricate engineering specifications.
- Demonstrated experience with both hand and advanced inspection instruments.
- Previous experience in inspecting plastic parts is a plus.
- Expertise in devising and executing inspection and test set-ups.
Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article Inspections.
- Take charge of planning, scheduling, and executing the metrology lab's calibration program.
- Develop and revise inspection work instructions as necessary.
- Provide support for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Participate in engineering drawing reviews.
- Assume the role of lead auditor and actively engage in internal and external audit processes.
- Conduct functional testing on products to determine root causes of issues.
- Establish communication with suppliers to address and resolve problems and concerns.
- Collaborate with various departments and factories as needed to address and resolve part-related issues.
