Job Description

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 5 or more years of experience in a Total Quality position within an ISO9000 certified organization and 2(+) years managing a Total Quality System (ISO9000).
  • Experience of 2 – 3 years managing/leading a systematic, disciplined, data driven, problem solving/process improvement system such as Six Sigma, 8D, etc.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Excellent leadership, project management, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills where root cause is identified, corrective actions developed, and follow-up instituted to assure items are completed (closed loop system).
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Products including technical writing (procedures), data analysis (spreadsheets/charts), flow charting, etc.
  • Successful implementation and application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to forge relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Prefer ASQ membership with active involvement.
Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise 1-2 team members
  • Work in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Establish systems and procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Determine and enforce through functional groups, quality and safety requirements in accordance with all company needs, based on current regulation and state of the art product development.
  • Organize and promote companywide quality improvement efforts. Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Work with Purchasing to develop and maintain supplier quality system including standardized specifications, performance rating, and NCMR/Corrective action activities.
  • Work with organization and customers to resolve repetitive and/or significant NCMR issues through the CPAR system.
  • Using data gathering and analysis (such as RA’s info, NCMR data, scrap data, etc.), identify required and potential improvement opportunities throughout organization and assist Management and Supervision in utilizing disciplined problem solving/improvement methodology to resolve issues permanently
  • Manage Total Quality System (ISO9000) through training of System Auditors and directing System Audits.
  • Maintain and manage tool and equipment calibration system (per ISO9000)
  • Insure compliance/adherence to customer, industry, and/or governmental standards as it relates to product and process
  • Provide experience, knowledge and hands-on training on RCCM process
  • Fully functional in a Lean Manufacturing environment with ability to utilize tools and principles
