Job Description
Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree
- 5+ years of experience in the same or equivalent role within a manufacturing organization
- Journeyman Machinist/Manufacturing Engineer experience
- CNC and/or CAM programming experience
- Strong understanding of machining related manufacturing processes
- Strong acumen related to process/resource costing
- Blueprint reading skills (including GD&T)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and MRP/ERP systems
- The ability to communicate professionally in all circumstances
- The willingness to grow and learn
Responsibilities:
- Intake and process all available RFQ information.
- Develop commercially viable quotations in line with overall company business objectives.
- Define all processes/resources (in-house and subcontract) required to produce the requested product along with their associated costs.
- Notify the Sales Team/Customer Service of missing information to facilitate additional discovery.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure the quoted process is representative of best in-house practices.
- Utilize tools to develop winning bids, including industry best practices, machining methods, cut time calculators, CAM software, and ERP systems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
