Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Proven Preventative Maintenance (PM) experience with industrial robotics, machinery, and automated equipment.
  • Experience in set-up and troubleshooting of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems and equipment, including:
  • Robotics and vision systems with PLC programming.
  • Pneumatic and electrical actuators and systems.
  • Laser cutting and welding processes and techniques.
  • Small precision machined components.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical issues within automated systems.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and their implementation in manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to create tools and fixtures, as well as document PM instructions for standardized maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime, ensuring continuous production flow.
  • Assist with the integration, testing, and deployment of new automated systems into the production environment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and automated systems, utilizing both mechanical and electronic expertise.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of machines and automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Set up precision tooling, robotic and automated systems, and vision systems, ensuring all systems are properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure regular servicing and minimal disruptions.
  • Create detailed Preventive Maintenance work instructions, including step-by-step procedures for routine maintenance tasks.
  • Design and fabricate tools or fixtures needed for maintenance and production processes.
  • Develop new tools and fixtures to improve machine capabilities, uptime, yield, and process time, enhancing overall system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical issues, including robotic systems, vision systems, pneumatic actuators, and electrical components.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement process by identifying areas of potential efficiency improvements in automated systems.
