Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in automation, control systems, or related fields
- Understanding of industrial automation concepts, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and data management
- Experience selling to pharmaceutical, biotech, or life science companies strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to close complex technical sales
- Understand clients' automation challenges and articulate how our custom engineering solutions can address their needs
- Collaborate with our controls engineers and data scientists to develop tailored proposals and presentations
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
- Translate complex technical capabilities into business value propositions for potential clients
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and sales activities in CRM (NetSuite)
- Generate proposal presentations and RFQ responses
