Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in wire harness and LRU manufacturing within aerospace or defense industries.
- Strong understanding of IPC 610/620 and J-STD 001 standards, along with lean manufacturing principles.
- Expertise in designing and utilizing form boards for wire harness assembly.
- Proven experience in work cell design and process optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for tooling and fixture design.
- Experience in production planning for aerospace and defense assemblies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency in wire harness and LRU fabrication.
- Design and refine work cells to maximize production efficiency and ensure ergonomic work environments.
- Provide technical expertise, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and enhance assembly processes.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (IPC, J-STD) while ensuring consistent quality control.
- Lead initiatives to improve production capabilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and performance reports.
