Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least 8 years of industry experience in design and development of electromechanical equipment
- SolidWorks expert, ability to create fabrication drawings
- Experience taking a product from conceptual stage to release to customer/installation
- Design experience with motors, gears, mechanisms, vision systems, pneumatics, opto-mechanical, fluid handling systems, motion control
- Customer facing experience – concept development, proposal, design review
- Take the lead in conceptual development of possible solutions to customers’ requests
- Lead design effort, work with multi-disciplinary team of Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineers
- Provide support as design is taken to manufacturing floor, resolving issues with material, quality, etc.
- Lead/participate in design reviews with customers and internal team
- Ensure project is on schedule & delivered to customers’ satisfaction
- Support sustaining efforts as needed
