Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: including Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Process, Construction Management
- PE license preferred
- 7+ years experience in an industrial environment, including oil and gas, chemical, power plants
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS is a plus
- Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, SLDs, Cause and Effect, Change Management, RFIs, and as-built drawings
- Experience with pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, fans, piping, tanks, valves
- Working knowledge of ASME Section I and VIII, Div. 1, ASME B31.1 and B31.3, API 650, API 610, TEMA, ASTM
Responsibilities:
- Scope, definite, and design process details for balance-of-plant (BOP) systems
- Define and own system process requirements and specifications, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and Heat & Mass Balance (HMB)
- Perform engineering trade-off case studies to balance performance, cost, and schedule
- Work in parallel with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) team to define and direct 3rd part EPCs
- Participate in PHAs, HAZOP, and HAZID workshops
