Software Test Engineer - Robotics
Job Description
Qualifications:
-
B.S. in EE, Computer Science, Software
-
3-5 year of experience in robot testing. 1-2 years of exp required with a Masters (semicon/industrial/bio or similar environments)

Matlab, Python, Arduino, C++, C#, Shell
-
Software testing, automation test, regression testing, bug-tracking, debugging, troubleshooting, failure analysis
-
Working knowledge of mechanical robotic systems and general engineering concepts. Knowledge of mechatronics

Proficient with quality concepts and principles

Proficient with instrumentation and computer tools for data collection (serial data loggers)
-
Understanding of laser tracking systems

Must be able to multi-task, adapt to change, and work within a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Responsibilities:
-
Enhance robot performance by tuning controls systems
-
Design reliability test plans and execute them. Analyze data and present findings
-
Perform functional and reliability testing on single and multi-link robots and controllers
-
Firmware regression testing, identify technical issues, and work with software engineering to resolve
-
Set up test equipment, jigs and fixtures
-
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures
-
Investigate product failures and determines root cause
-
Implement 5S methodologies and lean practices in the lab
