Job Description
Qualifications:
- BS in ME, MFG, Industrial Technology or similar field
- Experience in ACAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or related CAD
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing & automation position
- 3+ year working experience as an engineer within a component manufacturing/machining environment or related industry such as medical, aerospace, or machining is required
- Experience with electrical circuits, PLC programming, motion control, statistical analysis is required
- Proficiency with programming in ladder logic and structured text
- Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Complete key automation projects, manage project schedules, oversee new tool implementation, and drive innovation through cutting-edge manufacturing process development
- Collaborate closely with the internal Engineering team to deliver exceptional results
- Manage and complete projects that involve motion control, programming, electrical schematic design, and documentation
- Attend weekly meetings and begin to identify new opportunities
- Identify, analyze and propose new high level manufacturing improvement projects to management
- Drive internal process improvements
- Review new designs and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to the Design Engineering team, define tooling requirements, and identify gaps in capability
- Receive inquiries from the design team, assess the feasibility of the job, provide labor cost estimates
