Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience designing stepper and servo motor systems and pneumatic pumps, valves, and actuators for capital equipment
- 5+ years of CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) including SolidWorks PDM and SolidWorks Electrical
- Experience in GD&T and quality detail drawing documentation
- Thermal Analysis, FEA, CFD, and simulation software experience
- Systems-level thinker with experience working on complex mechanical systems
- Willing and able to work hands-on to build, integrate, and test newly developed systems
- Self-driven, independent thinker with strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with risk analysis methods such as FMEA preferred
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and design mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic prototypes, systems, and subsystems for capital equipment involving stepper or servo motors, pneumatic pumps, and valves
- Perform GD&T analysis of designs at system and subsystem level, and conduct system-level integration and validation through testing and troubleshooting
- Plan and perform tests to analyze feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems
- Drive full documentation of design including BOM, drawings, and procedures, and manage small to mid-sized projects from concept to production
- Oversee fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Process teams
