Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Mechanical Engineering / M.S. desired
- 7+ years’ mechanical engineering design & New Product Development (industrial tools highly desirable, i.e.: Torque wrenches)
- SolidWorks & PDM
- Must: conceptualization of designs, prototyping & testing (Cradle to grave design or design to industrialization)
- Must have Materials knowledge of alloys (chromoly steel), metals strongly preferred.
- Must have Knowledge of lifecycle testing; dynamic fatigue testing & FEA methods, heat treatments , CNC Machining & plastic injection molding
- Manage test set ups and DOE's
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly techniques and machine-shop practices and techniques
- Creative, Self Starter
- Create designs & develop technical requirements & product specifications
- Create and review engineering reports documenting new designs, product testing, and failure investigation
- Create engineering test plans and reports for product verification and validation. Perform test and analysis tasks
- Sustaininig engineering activities
- Develop processes, methods, tooling, and production controls to take designs into production with low manufacturing costs
