Job Description
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- BSEE, Masters or Advanced Degree preferred
- 7 + Years controls experience in the Development of motor control algorithms and firmware for high power generation (600VDC +) of electric motors and inverters.
- Must have experience with high-speed permanent magnet machines, power electronics, magnetic bearings & methods to control the output voltage of a three-phase inverter for witching power transistors
- Strong Knowledge of digital, analog and power electronic circuits
- C++ / C
- good to know embedded ARM/C2000 Controllers
- Modeling and simulation of electric drives & inverter fault handling: MATLAB/Simulink/Plecs
- Bus protocols: SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485
- Microcontrollers: TI C2000 series, TI Sitara, NXP MPC, or NXP S32k
- Space Vector PWM (SVPWM), Sinusoidal PWM (SPWM), & Discontinuous PWM (DPWM)
Responsibilities:
- Design and simulate algorithms for controlling of electric motors/generators, and power converters.
- Develop motor control algorithms and firmware for motor/generator products & integrate into the control systems.
- Develop reusable device drivers and application libraries
- Develop test plan, perform validation tests
- Hands on Testing tuning & troubleshooting
- Auto-coding from control simulation, hand coding and coding of hardware
- Lead activities for controls hardware in-the-loop (C-HIL) test setup & simulation
