Job Description
Qualifications :
- BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years PLC/HMI programming, automation controls design from scratch, and software development
- Must have experience using Allen-Bradley, specifically with RS Logix software package and Point/IO integration module
- Knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical for control panel design
- Ability to communicate with internal teams such as engineering, production, quality and sales
- Background working closely with customers during ongoing projects to ensure everything is on schedule and within budget
- Conceptual design, coding and testing of controls architecture for custom automated industrial equipment
- Program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs from scratch, occasionally being able to pivot to Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens etc.
- Integrate systems for motion controls and machine vision (Cognex, Keystone) and implement them in real time
- Prepare documentation for system requirements and functionality from discussions with customers and internal engineering teams
- Develop plans & schedules for projects, and regularly track and report ongoing progress and potential changes to projects
