Job Description

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in Electrical Systems Design and Development, specifically for complex capital equipment (e.g., Additive, Semiconductor, or Video Display).
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in ECAD (AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical) and Mechanical CAD for control panel layout and cable routing.
  • Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of Automation Control Networks, PLCs, Motion Control, AC/DC Power Distribution, and Machine Safety/Compliance Standards.
  • Standards & Lifecycle: Proficiency with IEC 81346-1 and experience using PLM/PDM software (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Propel, Arena, or Agile).
  • Hands-on Capability: Proven track record in prototyping, troubleshooting, and installing complex industrial hardware; willing to work "hands-on" for system integration.
  • Soft Skills: A "take-charge" attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, disruptive technology environment.
  • Nice to Haves: Experience with EtherCAT, IO-Link, Metal AM, Risk Analysis (FMEA/ISO12100), and Quality Standards (ISO9000/AS9100).

Responsibilities
  • Electrical Design & Documentation: Design and document electrical systems, including industrial control panels, wire harnesses, and complex cable routing; maintain System Interconnect Diagrams.
  • Validation & Testing: Propose specifications and create comprehensive test plans for system-level integration, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lifecycle Management: Lead End-of-Life (EOL) and obsolescence projects; manage BOMs, drawings, and procedures to release designs into production.
  • Supply Chain Support: Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers for prototype development and the outsourcing of electrical assemblies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide electrical expertise to hardware, software, and field service teams; manage projects from initial concept through to production.
  • Quality & Compliance: Participate in MRB activities for material disposition and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through the CCB process.
  • Field & Factory Support: Oversee the fabrication, installation, and repair of electrical systems to ensure long-term product quality.
