Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Strong background in electrical systems (control panels, MPDUs, PLCs, wiring, sensors, motion control)
- Expert competency with IPC-A-620C standard
- Knowledge of CAD packages (AutoCAD, Autodesk, SolidWorks) and manufacturing systems (ERP, MES)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency in quality tools (SPC, CAPA, 8D, root cause analysis) and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and implementation of manufacturing solutions and translate customer and engineering requirements into effective manufacturing processes
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and scalable production
- Lead Quality Management Process and Documentation for internal and external customers, and own and manage First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and reports
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve detailed work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA methodologies, and oversee electrical build processes including wiring, harnessing, panel integration, and system validation
