Staff Mechanical Engineer (RP)
Job Description
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
-
8+ years of mechanical product design experience in high-volume manufacturing, renewable energy, or industrial equipment
-
Proficiency with SolidWorks, ePDM, FEA, and Flow Simulation tools
-
Expertise in DFM for castings and sheet metal components
-
Strong understanding of mechanical failure analysis, fatigue analysis, and tolerance stack-ups
-
Practical knowledge of prototyping, validation testing, and manufacturing drawings
Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex mechanical structures and assemblies

Perform advanced structural analysis, FEA, and fatigue simulations to optimize product performance
-
Create detailed drawings, tolerance analyses, and manufacturing documentation for large-scale production
-
Drive problem resolution for time-sensitive manufacturing and production challenges
-
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for design, testing, and field performance issues
-
Mentor junior engineers in CAD modeling, high-volume design, and supplier collaboration
