Staff RF Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or RF Power Engineering with 10+ years of experience
- Multi-kilowatt High Power RF experience from 1 to 60 MHz
- Strong understanding of Transmission Line theory, impedance matching, RF measurements, and calibration techniques
- Experience with analog and digital circuits, computer control networks, and hardware/software interactions
- Proficiency with electrical measurement equipment (DMM, LCR, Network Analyzers, Hi-Pot, Oscilloscopes, TDR, Spectrum Analyzers)
- Working knowledge of SPC, Cpk, DOE, GR&R, 5-Why, 8D, and Ishikawa diagrams
- Familiarity with electrical and manufacturing standards (SEMI S2, OSHA, ISO9000/14000, RoHS, UL, IEEE, MIL, IPC 610/620)
- PCB assembly, inspection, and test experience preferred
- Practical lab and experimental experience with strong communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Apply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction
- Apply experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design & Documentation, Product Qualification, Change (EC) Processes, and Problem Solving to product and component life cycles
- Perform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes
- Define, review, and improve Supplier's Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Supplier's Quality Systems, and Processes of Record (POR)
- Lead structured problem-solving in Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) and support industrial systems life cycle from specification through product support
