Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field; Master's degree with 5+ years of experience preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments.
- Experience with Aircraft or UAV development programs as a Systems Engineer.
- Familiarity with one or more Government Reference Architectures such as AMS GRA, A-GRA, or OMS/UCI.
- Basic understanding of modular open systems approaches (MOSA) in defense systems.
- Knowledge of systems engineering tools and standards like DOORS, SysML, MBSE.
- Experience in creating and validating environmental requirements (temperature, vibration, altitude).
- Knowledge of military environmental testing standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of systems requirements and architecture in accordance with government open and common architecture standards.
- Translate mission needs and technical objectives into clear, actionable system requirements.
- Manage system interfaces and requirements from concept through integration and flight testing.
- Coordinate and execute system validation activities including environmental testing to ensure mission readiness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system development, safety, performance, and reliability.
