Job Description

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, specifically documenting complex electromechanical or industrial hardware systems
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Markdown, XML/DITA, Angular, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or Confluence
  • Knowledge of CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and field deployment practices
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content for installers, engineers, and customers
  • Experience managing documentation projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, growth-stage technology environment
  • Strong command of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and Document Change Order (DCO) processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or a related field
  • Experience with localization and multilingual documentation for global distribution
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks Composer or other design drafting tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while fostering cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities:
  • Author and review technical documentation for hardware, firmware, and software components, including solar tracker systems and new product offerings
  • Execute documentation activities using PLM systems (e.g., Arena) and manage technical information via the Document Change Order (DCO) process
  • Source, gather, and analyze information from engineering and field operations to create installation manuals, technical bulletins, and release notes
  • Oversee the production of illustrations and diagrams to support clear communication and support product marketing with technical collateral
  • Drive innovation by implementing CMS tools and automation to bring technical documentation into a scalable digital era
  • Establish quality metrics and collect stakeholder feedback to ensure documentation meets regulatory compliance and safety standards
