Job Description
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a technical discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in a biotech R&D or Manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience assembling, aligning, troubleshooting instruments comprising of opto-mechanical, electronic, and software components
- Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, BOM’s, assembly instructions, test instructions
- Able to read and interpret software exception message in order to identify issues
- Experience using test and calibration equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, beam profilers…etc.
- Familiar with basic UNIX commands (vi, cat, grep, systems, etc.)
- Familiar with ISO9001
Responsibilities:
- Support the build and test of complex DNA sequencing instruments
- Follow assembly instructions and SOP to build, troubleshoot, resolve and document manufacturing or calibration issues
- Interpret system log activity and error messages and initiate investigation of the root cause of the error
- Use test and calibration equipment to identify issues with component activation, cycling, power on/off, clearance, alignment issues
- Isolate, resolve, or escalate issues
- Support documentation as needed
