Electromechanical Technician
Job Description
Qualifications:
- AS or Engineering Degree (EE/ME/Industrial Engineering)
- 5-7 years of working experience in electronics, electrical or mechanical assembly, fabrication, machining, harness build
- Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and/or system level troubleshooting
- Root cause and corrective action of instrument failures
- 2D/3D CAD knowledge helpful
- Experience in Class II or Class III medical devices desirable
- Knowledge of FDA QSR (desired), ISO Quality Systems, GMP and GLP
- Strong attention to detail when executing reworks, test protocols, or engineering assemblies
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, tolerances and electrical schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, precision measurement equipment, soldering, hands-on experience building harnesses, knowledge of electrical and mechanical test equipment, and/or machine tools
- Support engineering development activities such as design, fabrication, assembly, modification, and test of complex electro-mechanical medical instruments, assemblies, and components
- Build and test R&D prototypes
- Support transfer of development instruments to manufacturing
- Support test and fixture development for internal R&D use and experimental testing
- Support Reliability, Verification and Validation Testing
- Provide data for test reports, assembly procedures, and troubleshooting guides
