In-Process Inspector
Job Description
Job Title: In Process Inspector
Industry: PCB / PWB Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defense Electronics
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM (training on first shift)
Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in PCB/PWB manufacturing, focused on in process inspection or quality control.
• Experience with bare boards, flex, and rigid flex circuits in high reliability electronics environments such as aerospace or defense.
• Knowledge of PCB/PWB processes, defect identification, IPC standards, and military specifications.
• Ability to use microscopes and inspection tools to identify defects in traces, holes, and board surfaces.
• Ability to read drawings, travelers, and work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Experience with MRP systems and production tracking for inspection documentation.
Responsibilities
• Perform in process inspection of PCB/PWB panels to identify defects during production.
• Conduct visual inspections of traces, holes, thickness, and markings to ensure quality standards are met.
• Verify travelers, lot numbers, and panel quantities before advancing product.
• Use microscopes and inspection equipment to detect defects in flex and rigid flex boards.
• Document results in MRP systems and production records.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards and aerospace quality requirements.
