Test Engineer - Networking and Photonics/Optics

Job Description
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical/Optics/applied Physics background
- Experience with Data Networking and Optics/Photonics
- Experience with hardware testing, systems integration, or network engineering
- Knowledge in networking L1/L2(Physical and Data Link layers) in data networking
- Experience working with Optical transceivers and free space optics
- Working knowledge of Vaivi testing equipment and solutions. Other similar tools would be Keysight, Spirent, and Xena tools
- Able to analyze large data sets and give feedback to engineering teams
- Ideal candidate would be able to also troubleshoot board and perform board bring up. They would also assist in building prototypes transceivers
- Set up and run complex experiments to characterize optical link performance, including laser lock status, sway/vibration compensation, and atmospheric interference
- Utilize industry-standard traffic generation and Ethernet test tools (e.g., VIAVI, Keysight, Spirent, or Xena) to benchmark latency and throughput across 25G+ PHY regimes
- Collaborate with Embedded and Mechanical teams to troubleshoot hardware using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and optical power meters.
- Analyze and document test results
