- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of test automation development experience.
- Must have deep experience in Python. Ability to read Matlab- and LabView-based code and translate to Python.
- Familiarity with lab equipment, such as VNA, impedance analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, scope, and their communication protocols (e.g. SCPI).
- Understanding safety requirements when operating high-power RF equipment.
- Must be able to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment and multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with RF engineers and system design managers to develop and maintain Python-based test automation for custom auto-match products.
- Translate and maintain legacy Matlab- and LabView-based automation to Python.
- Develop, test and maintain API libraries for Comet products and lab equipment, such as VNA, impedance analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, scope.
- Develop, test and maintain Python-based automation for calibration and RF testing of Comet’s products.
- Translate, test and maintain legacy Matlab- and LabView-based automation to Python.
- Triage bug reports and feature requests across multiple fast-changing priorities.
- Use best practices of version control and software deployment.
- Create and maintain documentation.
